MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF WEST HAYDEN ISLAND MOORAGE OWNERS ASSOCIATION

Call to Order
The President called the meeting to order at 19:00 and determined there was a quorum with all members present.
Reading & Approval of the Minutes of Previous Meeting
The Secretary had e-mailed minutes from the previous meeting.
Motioned, seconded and passed unanimously to approve the previous Board Meeting minutes.
Treasurer’s Report
All HOA payments received for April.
April Water $5,790.52.
MTD @ 90.5% of budget and YTD @ 105.0% of budget.
May paid April Landscaping $1,300.00.
§ No Invoice received — Expense is accrued for April — same amount as prior year.
MTD @ 100.0% of budget and YTD @ 100.0% of budget.
MTD Total Expenses for April were 92.5% of budget & YTD Total Expenses are 101.2% of budget.
o April Cash Reserves are $465,908.86 with Schwab.
Cash balance is $118,908.86.
Tax & Insurance set-aside is $26,666.00 of the current cash balance.

Old Business: Standing Committee Reports
Facilities & Grounds – Jim Pidgeon
§ Landscape report – Gerry Abrams
· Losing battle on west end weeds.
· Casting wild flowers has created more weeds as well.
· Lost 2 Japanese Maples but 1 may come back – may have to cut some others down.
· Bark dusting is on schedule for June.
· Recommendation of removing 2-5 Mulberry trees & replace with ornamentals that won’t need near as much maintenance.
· Gutters need to be cleaned again – may need to do annually.
· Maybe get gutter screens.
§ Jim will get bid from Landscapers on trees, bark dust, weeds, & gutters.
§ Secretary to email to owners that landscapers should be left to their task - No sowing wildflowers, Freelance landscaping is costing us money.
§ Dumpster Issues & Pet or Varmint issues.
· Critter Cams – Moved, Seconded & Passed. We will invest into 2 critter cams.
§ Spring work party – Scheduled for June 11.
o Fire, Security And Safety – Brad Pendergraft
§ Gate Issues
· In gate seems to be sticking open occasionally.
· We may look into replacing entire mechanism.
· BOD will investigate new possibilities for replacing but we must first replace the operator. Walt will advise when he gets back in 2 weeks.
§ We also must look into refurbishing the “lighthouses” at the gates.
§ Speed bumps & Stop Sign issues
· Brad suggested we install bumps on inbound side @$300 on inbound side.
· Jim has a rotohammer to install pins.
· Brad was instructed to make the purchase for one at the stop sign.
Architectural Review – Walt LeDoux
§ Several outdoor paint projects requested.
§ And 1 request to place some pergola in front (#2).
§ The ARC thanks all for proactively informing us of their maintenance/construction projects.
§ Current committee member – CW Taylor. We Need 1 additional member.
o By-Laws, CC&Rs And Rules – Nancy Lindgren.

§ Sewer Water issues with city – Brad will address with Roy (21).
